Maria Shendrik was born in Russia and received her early education from private school and the school of music and art. In 2012 her family moved to Canada. Here she decided to pursue an education in fashion design at MC College Winnipeg, Manitoba to become a designer. Maria has always been interested in fashion and design. Being dressed to look like a princess since she was a child, influenced Maria’s love of fashion and good style.

After graduation, Maria intends to work as a designer in an international fashion house and/or freelance designer. She has all the qualities a good designer should have to be successful in the fashion industry: ambition, a strong work ethic, discipline, and creativity.

Currently Maria is working at Nygard Fashion Internationals in position of Technical Merchandiser. 

Besides fashion design, Maria loves horseback riding, oil painting, playing the violin and these things inspire her in designing.
